Leading physicians gathered at the Premium Medical Circle Think Tank on Lake Starnberg to discuss network medicine, AI, gut health, and radiation oncology.
The idea of Premium Medical Circle came back into focus at the Think Tank at Lake Starnberg, where over 70 guests gathered. What makes this network truly unique is the exchange of cutting-edge medical expertise, interdisciplinary knowledge transfer, and personal dialogue among doctors from the most diverse specialties.
The event took place in the magnificent setting of La Villa, which overlooks Lake Starnberg. Even the changeable weather—sometimes pouring rain, sometimes an evening sun bathing the opposite shore in golden light—could not diminish the magic of this place.
After a welcome cocktail in the orangery, the Think Tank sessions began with six lectures by doctors from the network and external speakers. Dr. med. dent. Christoph Wenninger opened the program with the question: "How much medicine is there in dentistry?"
More than you might expect, because physical complaints such as dizziness and back pain, migraines, sleep disorders and tinnitus are often connected to the teeth. His appeal: "If you can't identify where pain or disease symptoms originate, you should refer patients to the dentist. We need network medicine!"
Johannes B. Teltscher, whose company Weissheit leverages AI in its practices, focused his presentation on social media and visibility.
Biogena, for its part, clearly prioritizes quality. Margit Loidl, who leads international markets at the Austrian company, discussed "Why premium micronutrients make the difference"—specifically, how to recognize when dietary supplements contain exclusively high-quality ingredients and why bioavailability matters most.
Particularly exciting and alarming was the presentation by attorney Karin Gräfin von Strachwitz-Helmstatt, who specializes in medical law at her firm medlegal. She informed the attending physicians about billing pitfalls and provided numerous helpful tips on how to avoid disputes with health insurance companies and their patients.
Dr. med.-univ. Birgit Dinnewitzer discussed the often-underestimated role of SIBO, a condition frequently confused with irritable bowel syndrome or overlooked entirely. This specialist in general and visceral surgery, who focuses on intestinal health , advocates for breath testing as a diagnostic tool and is a strong proponent of phytotherapy for treating this condition.
To conclude the lecture series, the focus shifted to a technological quantum leap in radiation oncology. For Prof. Dr. Hendrik Wolff, a long-held dream has recently become reality. The state-of-the-art linear accelerator EVO, combined with Brainlab technology (one of only four such devices worldwide, located at Radiology Munich), enables real-time monitoring of tumor radiation, daily recalculation, and adaptive adjustments that significantly reduce stress on healthy tissue surrounding the tumor.
The discussion sessions following the presentations proved just as valuable and exciting as the lectures themselves, offering opportunities to deepen understanding, ask questions, and exchange opinions.
This evening's program was led by two members of the medical network: Prof. Dr. med. Dominik Pförringer and Prof. Dr. med. Christopher Bohr – both delivering their presentations with confidence, technical precision, and entertaining flair, often with a knowing wink.
During the dinner and reception that followed, the conversation remained lively, with neighbors sharing their thoughts and exchanging business cards.
Stephanie Neureuter, Founder & CEO of Premium Medical Circle, summarized the event: "I want to thank all my guests who were here this evening to experience and witness what PMC stands for: genuine togetherness, equal exchange, and fresh ideas that benefit everyone—the participating physicians and their potential patients alike."
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partners BIOGENA and LA MER, whose support made this Think Tank possible and whose expertise greatly enriched the experience.
